Water is your friend

One of the lifestyle changes that I have made that has really stuck with me is that I make sure to stay hydrated. I drink at least 79 ounces of water per day. I drink more water if it is really hot out or if I am sweating more than usual. I drink a mug of warm water with lemon in it each morning before I eat anything. I’ve seen a lot of people blog about how warm water with lemon is like some magical elixir of vitality, but that’s not what I’m claiming here. I like to have something warm in the morning, and I can’t really drink coffee because of my medication. It feels cleansing to drink it, but I have no idea if it’s like some amazing life changing beverage. I squeeze half a lemon into my water if anyone is wondering. I used to use a kettle to warm my water up, but it takes a while for the water to cool down, and I don’t like waiting! I use a microwave instead.

These photos were taken before I moved to Chicago, but I do still drink out of that gigantic mason jar at home. I also bought a plastic lid I can sip out of to put on my mason jar. I’m going to have to get something else for work that is more classroom friendly. Any suggestions?
